Ionica Serviss, provider of smart engineering solutions, joins Civinity Group

Ionica Serviss, a Latvian provider of intelligent engineering solutions, joins Civinity, one of the largest building maintenance and engineering solutions groups in the Baltics. The acquisition will double the Civinity Group’s revenue from the design and installation of engineering systems in Latvia.

“Civinity is acquiring an 80% stake in Ionica Serviss, the value of the transaction is not disclosed. After the merger, the company will continue to operate in the group, with all employees of Ionica Serviss working for the group.

“Ionica Serviss provides intelligent building management system (BMS) installation services as well as design, installation and maintenance of ventilation and air conditioning systems in Latvia. The company is the only one in the Baltic region to have developed artificial ice production technology and has been successfully applying it ever since. During its 27 years of operation, the company has contributed its engineering solutions to the installation of Swedbank, IKEA, Radisson, Rimi, Maxima and other buildings in Latvia.

“Civinity’s subsidiary Civinity Engineering provides engineering systems design and installation services in Lithuania, Latvia and the UK, and has completed projects in various European cities. According to Deividas Jackos, shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Civinity, the addition of Ionica Serviss will not only double the revenue from these services in Latvia, but will also significantly increase the Group’s expertise in the field of Building Management Systems (BMS).

An intelligent building management system (BMS) allows the control and automation of all types of technical building systems such as electrical, ventilation, lighting, fire safety and security. This solution not only helps building managers to save energy resources, but also to ensure continuous and efficient maintenance of the building’s engineering systems.

“Our aim is to provide our customers with all possible integrated building maintenance and engineering solutions from one source. By joining Ionica Serviss, we are significantly increasing the building management (BMS) expertise that we will be able to offer to our current and future clients, thus ensuring an even wider range of services provided by our in-house specialists,” says Deividas Jacka.
