Civinity engineering has been commissioned to install engineering systems in the Klaipėda conversion project Memel City

Civinity engineering, a subsidiary of Civinity, one of the largest building maintenance and engineering solutions groups in the Baltic States, has been awarded the contract to design and install engineering systems in the newly developed conversion project Memelio miestas in Klaipėda by the general contractor, Conres. The order is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025.

Memelio miestas is a project being developed by Stemma Group in Klaipėda on the right bank of the River Dange, creating a new multifunctional city centre area along the River Dange and the Curonian Lagoon. The 5 ha area combining residential and commercial buildings is being developed in phases. Construction will start in summer 2023. The first phase will be completed by the end of 2025 and will include a 6-storey Class A business centre and prestige class apartments, service and retail space. The site also includes recreational and public spaces.

“The Memel City project is focused on sustainability, so all engineering solutions are carefully evaluated in terms of energy efficiency and durability, and professionals are chosen to implement the solutions,” says Justinas Striška of Stemma Group, the developer.

Civinity engineering will design and install the heating, ventilation, cooling, geothermal boiler room, heat point, water supply and sewage engineering systems in the Memel City office building.

According to Titas Kecorius, director of Civinity engineering, the project will feature state-of-the-art, highly efficient geothermal heating and cooling systems that provide maximum comfort with minimum energy resources.

“We will design and install a passive cooling cold beam system in commercial buildings. Not every high-end office in the capital can boast such a system. We are delighted to be working with a client such as Stemma Group and the general contractor Conres, who value quality engineering solutions,” says Kecorius.

“The construction of the Memel Town development is being built by a number of professionals in their field – Civinity Engineering is no exception. The project is distinguished by its extremely high sustainability requirements and the multitude of engineering systems, so we chose professionals with many years of experience to carry out the work, who committed to carry out the work in accordance with the deadlines in order to complete the project on time,” says Lukas Abramavičius, Project Manager of Conres, a general contracting company that is in charge of the construction.

Civinity is one of the largest building maintenance and engineering solutions groups in the Baltics. The company brings together more than 30 companies that maintain 10 million sqm of residential and commercial buildings and have installed hundreds of engineering systems in different European cities. In 2022, the Civinity team had 1,711 employees in Lithuania, Latvia and the UK, revenues of EUR 74.158 million and EBITDA of EUR 4.121 million.

Stemma Group, the developer of the Memel City project, is active in renewable energy – wind farms – and manages real estate projects in Klaipeda. “Memelio miestas is the largest project currently under development in Klaipėda.

Conres, a general contracting and construction company, operates in 4 countries – Lithuania, Sweden, France and St. Bartholomew’s Island, Caribbean. With more than 200 employees, Conres carries out a wide range of construction projects, from modern commercial, residential, administrative, public and industrial projects to the reconstruction of cultural heritage buildings.
